Answer
Can I add an Ethernet switch to my Starlink router?
You can use a suitable Ethernet switch to add LAN connections where your Starlink setup provides a supported Ethernet output. Some kits have built-in LAN ports; others require the matching adapter.
Connect the switch to the LAN side of the router that manages your home network. Do not insert a generic switch into the powered dish-cable connection. Identify the hardware and ports from the relevant diagram first.
Our buying checklist is to match the switch's port speeds to your needs, allow enough ports for the uplink and devices, and check its power supply and placement. An older 100 Mbps switch can limit a faster local path.
For a simple household setup, avoid changing VLAN or advanced settings unless you have a reason. Add and test one wired device at a time. A switch provides more connections; it does not multiply the internet speed supplied to the property.
