Answer
Why can my printer not be found after switching to Starlink?
The printer may still be using the old Wi-Fi details or a saved local address that no longer fits the new network. First check the printer's own connection status and the instructions for its exact model.
Our diagnostic sequence is to connect the computer and printer to the intended main network, print or view the printer's network information, and confirm that it has a valid local address. Re-add the printer through the operating system if it still points to the previous address.
Guest isolation or separate networks can prevent local discovery even while both devices can browse the internet. A printer requiring 2.4 GHz also needs a compatible pairing process.
Do not reset the Starlink dish or open internet-facing ports to solve local printing. If the printer works on one computer but not another, investigate that computer's saved printer configuration and software before changing the entire network.
