Questions & answers

Clear, practical answers to the things people want to know before and after choosing Starlink.

Answer

What should I record when handing a temporary Starlink site to another team?

Record what is installed, where it is connected and who is responsible for it. A short handover helps the next team avoid accidental disconnections and makes faults easier to trace.

Include the kit model, labelled cable route, power source, network names, intended coverage area and a basic connection diagram. Record the service location and the permitted use that was checked before deployment. Keep account passwords and recovery codes in an approved secure system rather than the general handover sheet.

Show the incoming team one normal task and the procedure for reporting an outage. Identify which connections must not be moved, who can authorise changes and how equipment will be packed at the end.

Finish with an inventory and photographs of the working arrangement. If the next team changes the layout, ask them to update that record so the last known working configuration remains clear.
