Answer
Can I use Starlink in a flat or apartment with a balcony?
A balcony can work only if the dish has a suitable view of the sky and you can install it securely. A roof overhang, the building above and surrounding blocks may obstruct the required view even when the balcony feels open.
Use the app's obstruction check from the proposed dish position. Compare more than one safe position and include the final mounting height. Do not lean over railings or hold equipment outside the building to run a test.
Our practical advice is to settle building permission, the mount and the cable entry before ordering. Check with the landlord or building manager rather than assuming that a removable dish is automatically permitted. Plan a cable route that does not crush the cable in a door or window. If the only workable position requires work outside the balcony, ask a competent installer to assess it.
