Answer
Will two Starlink dishes double the speed of one download?
Not with ordinary load balancing alone. A multi-WAN router can distribute separate connections across two internet services, but a single session may still use only one of them.
That arrangement can help a busy property serve several users, even when an individual speed test shows little change. Some applications use multiple connections and may behave differently, so judge the result using the real workload.
Combining one flow across both links requires a suitable bonding design and usually an endpoint or service that reassembles the traffic. That adds cost, overhead and another system to manage.
Before buying a second kit, identify the problem: more simultaneous capacity, failover or faster individual transfers. Test each service independently, then configure failover before adding load balancing. Do not treat two hardware boxes as evidence that every device will receive twice the speed.
