Answer
Why does streaming buffer on Starlink when a speed test looks fast?
A speed test measures one device and a particular path at a particular moment. It does not prove that your television maintains the same connection throughout a film.
Our troubleshooting sequence is to test on the affected TV, try another programme or service, and compare a second device on the same network. Pause optional large transfers for one controlled test. If practical, compare Ethernet with the TV's normal Wi-Fi connection.
If only one app fails, check its service status, software and error message. If every stream freezes together, compare the timing with Starlink app interruptions. A film dropping to a lower resolution may reflect the streaming app adapting to available bandwidth rather than a broken dish.
Change one thing at a time and retest normal playback. Repeated speed tests can themselves consume bandwidth, so avoid running them continuously while trying to judge the stream.
