Answer
Can Starlink Mini be powered through its Ethernet port using PoE?
No. Starlink's Mini guidance states that Power over Ethernet is not supported on the Mini itself. Connecting Ethernet does not replace the required power connection.
Use the documented Mini power input and a supported supply or accessory. Our practical advice is to keep the data path and power path clearly labelled when building a campervan or home setup. A connector carrying Ethernet data is not evidence that the terminal accepts the same power arrangement as another Starlink model.
Some third-party products may convert PoE to a separate output, but that is an additional power-conversion system. It does not change Mini's native capability. Check voltage, polarity, output rating, sealing and manufacturer support before considering such equipment.
If the aim is fewer cables, compare the complete supported options rather than improvising a connection. Stop using any arrangement that produces hot connectors, repeated shutdowns or visible damage.
