Answer
Why does my wired Starlink connection drop while Wi-Fi stays online?
If Wi-Fi remains healthy at the same moment, start with the wired path. A cable, wall socket, switch, dock or Ethernet adapter may be losing its connection even though Starlink itself is online.
Watch whether the device reports an unplugged cable or simply loses internet access. Then test through one short, known-good cable on a suitable LAN port, bypassing wall plates and extra switches where practical.
Change one thing at a time: cable, port, then device. If the fault follows one computer, check its dock, adapter, drivers and sleep behaviour. If several devices fail through one route, investigate that shared route.
Record the times and compare them with app events. A stable direct test provides useful evidence before replacing equipment. Keep the normal router configuration intact while testing; a factory reset is not a useful first response to a loose connector.
