Answer
Can I test a suspected Starlink power supply without opening it?
Yes. Start with external checks and leave internal testing to qualified repair or support services. A sealed supply is not a user-serviceable test point.
Check whether the outlet supplies another suitable device and whether a switched socket, extension or UPS is off. Inspect the unplugged supply and accessible cables for visible damage, looseness or signs of moisture. Follow the kit's instructions when disconnecting and reconnecting components.
Record which equipment shows power and whether it attempts to boot. Indicator behaviour varies by model, so an unlit indicator alone may not identify the failed component.
Do not substitute an adapter because its plug fits, probe live connectors or open the enclosure. If a compatible replacement is available through an approved route, it can help isolate the fault. Otherwise send support the kit model, symptoms and checks completed before buying a complete new system.
