Answer
Can Starlink overheat in hot weather?
Starlink equipment has model-specific operating-temperature limits. The terminal, router and power supply may have different requirements, so check each component rather than assuming the dish's rating covers the whole system.
Our inspection checklist is to look for an indoor router in a closed cupboard, a power supply covered by belongings or a battery system left in a hot vehicle. Keep required ventilation clear and follow the manufacturer's placement instructions.
Do not move the dish into shade that blocks its sky view without assessing the connection. Instead, address the placement of heat-sensitive indoor or power equipment where possible.
If the app reports a thermal issue or equipment repeatedly shuts down in heat, record the conditions and contact support. Do not cover the dish with reflective material, open sealed parts or add an improvised cooling arrangement. Burning smells or damaged power components require stopping use.
