Questions & answers

Clear, practical answers to the things people want to know before and after choosing Starlink.

Answer

What USB-C power bank or charger does Starlink Mini need?

For the official Starlink Mini USB-C cable, Starlink specifies a 100 W USB Power Delivery source providing 20 V at 5 A. Check the output of the individual port you will use, not just a charger's combined headline wattage.

Our buying checklist is to confirm the required USB PD profile, the compatible cable and whether the port's available output changes when another device is plugged in. A power bank with a large capacity can still have an unsuitable output.

Test startup and a normal working session before travelling. Do not infer compatibility from Mini's lower average running consumption: a power-source requirement and average energy use describe different things.

Use the correct accessory for Mini and keep the power source within its environmental limits. An ordinary phone charger or visually similar USB lead should not be assumed suitable.
