Answer
Why does Starlink Mini restart on a long 12 V power cable?
Voltage drop along the cable is one possible cause, especially with a long low-voltage run. Starlink's Mini troubleshooting guidance identifies cable length and conductor size as things to check when a 12 V supply is unreliable.
Our first comparison is to test the original supported supply and cable. If that works but the vehicle setup does not, investigate the vehicle power path, connector condition and supply rating before blaming the dish.
Do not increase voltage blindly or fit a larger fuse to stop a shutdown. Any alternative supply must remain within Mini's documented requirements and use the correct polarity and connections. A competent installer should assess permanent vehicle wiring.
Record whether restarting happens at startup, under activity or as the battery discharges. Those observations help separate a supply problem from an app, account or satellite issue.
