Answer
Does Starlink support IPv6, and do I need to enable it?
Starlink supports IPv6, but successful use also depends on your router configuration, device and the service you are reaching. It is not a switch that guarantees faster internet.
If using your own router, follow its documented Starlink-compatible WAN settings and check that IPv6 prefix delegation is supported. Our recommendation is to test ordinary browsing and a reputable IPv6 connectivity test before and after any change, keeping a record of the original settings.
Do not disable the firewall to make an IPv6 test succeed. IPv6 connectivity and permission for unsolicited inbound traffic are separate questions.
If everything you need already works, there may be no urgent reason to alter the network. For a business application, ask IT whether it supports IPv6 and how access controls should work. If a specific website fails, diagnose that failure rather than turning multiple network features on and off together.
