Answer
What should I check when Starlink says Disconnected?
Record the exact app status before changing anything. “Disconnected” is a starting point for troubleshooting, not a diagnosis of which component has failed.
Check in this order:
- Look for a service, account or equipment alert.
- Confirm that the relevant indoor equipment has power.
- Inspect accessible cables for loose connections, obvious damage or crushing.
- Check whether the problem began after a move, power interruption or hardware change.
- Follow the model-specific restart guidance once, then allow startup to finish.
Disconnect power before reseating hardware cables where the instructions require it. Do not climb onto a roof, open equipment or handle wet or damaged electrical connections to complete a checklist.
If the status persists, contact official support with the start time, exact message, hardware model and steps already tried. Include safe photographs of visible damage where relevant. Repeated factory resets can erase useful settings without addressing the underlying power, cable or account problem.
