Answer
Should I use campsite Wi-Fi or Starlink Roam?
Test the campsite connection before assuming you need to unpack Starlink. Good site Wi-Fi may meet your needs without extra power or equipment outside; Starlink can be useful where site coverage is weak but the pitch has a suitable sky view.
Our comparison is to try your actual tasks at the pitch, including a call or upload if needed. Check the campsite's sign-in process, limits and charges. A strong Wi-Fi signal only describes the local radio link, not the speed of the site's shared internet connection.
For Starlink, include setup time, weather, dish security and the plan cost. Neither option should be assumed reliable solely because it worked at a different campsite.
Keep trusted work-device security in place on either network. A private hotspot or alternative connection can provide a useful fallback when an important task cannot wait.
