Answer
Where do I find my Starlink kit number or terminal identifier?
Look at the kit's shipping label, the hardware identification marking or the Starlink app's information or Advanced section. Starlink documents several identifier formats, including the kit serial number and terminal ID.
Check the instructions in the activation or support form to see which format it accepts. A router's Wi-Fi name, your account number and the terminal identifier are not interchangeable.
If a form reports an invalid ID, compare the characters carefully with the original label and remove only the prefixes the official instructions tell you to omit. Do not guess a number or copy an example from a tutorial.
Our practical recommendation is to keep a private photograph of the labels and the purchase receipt while the equipment is accessible. Do not climb up to a mounted dish if the identifier is already available in the app, and avoid posting full identifiers publicly.
