Will switching off or unplugging Starlink stop my monthly bill?
No. Turning off the equipment stops its connection and electricity use; it does not by itself change the subscription. Starlink bills for the service arrangement rather than only for the hours the dish is switched on.
If you will not use it for a while, inspect the pause, standby or cancellation options available on the correct service line. Read the effective date and any remaining charge before confirming. Do not assume every plan or promotional kit has identical options.
Our recommendation is to save the account confirmation and check the next invoice. Set a reminder for yourself before the next billing period if a change is still pending.
Sleep Schedule is also separate from subscription billing. Reducing operating hours may reduce electricity consumption, but it does not convert monthly service into pay-as-you-go internet.
