The real-world result
Before Starlink, my BT fibre-to-the-cabinet service produced about 22 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload. The final connection into my property still depended on the existing local infrastructure, so changing provider was unlikely to change that limitation.

What I learned
The recorded Starlink result of 359 Mbps down, 43 Mbps up and 19 ms latency has made a significant difference to everyday use. Several devices, streaming, work and large downloads are no longer constrained by the old connection in the same way.
