How to Test a Starlink Installation Before the Installer Leaves

Before an installer leaves, take a few minutes to check the connection and understand the work completed. It is far easier to ask questions while the route and equipment are in front of you.
Check the app and a normal device
Confirm the app shows a healthy connection and test Wi-Fi from a room where you actually use it. If you have a fixed work desk, test that specific position too.
Walk the cable route
Ask the installer to show where the cable runs, where it enters the building and any protection or extra hardware used. Check that nothing is loose, sharp or likely to be crushed by a door.
Keep the records
Photograph the dish location and retain the invoice, quote and product paperwork. Note any follow-up work or limits that were agreed.
