Can I use my Starlink Roam kit at home between trips?
A portable kit can be used at a permitted land-based location under the applicable Roam terms, including stationary use. Check the exact plan, country and hardware eligibility rather than assuming every travel offer has identical conditions.
Our recommendation is to decide whether you need temporary home use, a backup connection or a permanent replacement for home broadband. Compare the recurring cost and any available fixed-home plan only after those needs are clear.
Test indoor coverage as well as the satellite link. A Mini positioned outside for a clear view may not cover the whole house without additional networking.
If you also have a separate home Starlink service, review both service lines before changing anything. Switching or adding one kit does not automatically cancel the other subscription, and a discounted travel bundle may depend on retaining its associated home plan. Check the account confirmation.
