The best campsite location is not simply the highest or closest point. It needs a clear sky view, stability and a route that does not inconvenience or endanger anyone.
Start with the app
Use the Starlink app to inspect the likely sky view before committing to a spot. Trees, nearby buildings and awnings can matter, especially in tightly packed sites.
Keep it stable and visible
Use a suitable stable base or mount on ground you are permitted to use. Do not balance equipment on a roof edge, pitch it in a vehicle route or put it where someone is likely to trip.
Route the cable with care
Keep it clear of door hinges, wheels, walkways and wet ground where possible. Use protective routing only when it does not create a new hazard.
Respect the site
Check campsite rules and do not place equipment beyond your pitch. Take the setup down before moving the vehicle.
