Questions about this video

Straight answers to the questions readers ask most often.

Which Starlink plan should I choose for business premises?

Check the permitted use before choosing a personal plan for a shop, office or other business. The service descriptions reviewed on 23 September 2026 exclude business or enterprise use from the named personal Residential and Roam plans.

For a business purchase, ask Starlink to confirm the appropriate offer for your actual activity. Record your requirements:

  • Number of staff and connected devices.
  • Payment systems, cloud applications and remote access.
  • Upload demand and essential operating hours.
  • Invoice and support requirements.
  • Acceptable downtime and backup connectivity.

Do not assume that occasional working from home and providing connectivity to a commercial premises are treated identically. Explain the real use case if the distinction is unclear.

Our practical recommendation is to test business-critical applications and a fallback connection before relying on the service. A plan's data priority is not the same thing as a guarantee that a card terminal, VPN or remote system will work exactly as before.
