How can I get Starlink internet to a garden office or outbuilding?

Extend the local network from your working Starlink connection rather than moving the dish into a worse sky position. A nearby room may suit mesh Wi-Fi; a detached building often needs a more deliberate link.

Our planning recommendation is to measure the distance, note walls and outdoor obstacles, and decide whether a professionally installed wired connection or point-to-point wireless bridge is practical. A separate access point inside the office can then provide local Wi-Fi.

For wiring between buildings, ask a network installer about cable protection, electrical isolation and whether fibre is the appropriate choice. Do not trail indoor Ethernet cable across a garden or assume a general mesh node is weatherproof.

Test a sustained work call and file upload in the office before calling the project complete. Extending coverage does not increase the satellite subscription's total bandwidth; the house and office still share it.
