Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced a ban on American companies from provincial contracts on Monday, including "ripping up contract with Starlink," as a retaliatory measure for President Donald Trump's sweeping tariffs on Canada. "Ontario won't do business with [Starlink] people hell bent on destroying our economy," Ford said. Ford continued to push his "Canada first" approach and is encouraging Ontario's retailers to clarify products made in Canada for consumers to buy.
